BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Legal Defense Fund operates pursuant to Federal law, the Trust Agreement, and a Plan Document. It is managed by five working peace officers. Four are elected by members of their region. They serve staggered terms. The fifth is appointed by the PORAC President subject to the approval of the PORAC Board of Directors. The current Trustees are:

The Trustees meet on an "as needed" basis. In recent years this has meant ten to twelve meetings per year. The meetings are held in diverse locations throughout the Western United States. Association leaders and members often come to the meetings for Legal Defense Fund updates. In addition, the Board works with liaisons from the statewide police associations in Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Oregon, Wyoming, North Dakota and Colorado.
